DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN TBILISI

  • Old City Walk: Embark on a 3-4 hour guided walking tour through the soul of Old Tbilisi

 

  • Architectural Icons: Visit the 5th-century Metekhi Church, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Mtkvari River, and the ancient Narikala Fortress, which offers a sweeping panorama of the entire city.

 

  • Thermal History: Explore the Sulfur Old Baths district, where subterranean pavilions and unique red-brick domes create a “magical atmosphere” fueled by natural hot springs.

 

  • Modern & Artistic Tbilisi: Stroll down the trendy Chardin Street, cross the contemporary Bridge of Peace, and explore the lush Rike Park.

 

  • Skyline Access: Enjoy a two-way cable car ride to Narikala and an iconic one-way Funicular train ride to reach the city’s highest viewpoints

  • Morning Departure: At 10:00 AM, your guide will meet you for a 2-hour scenic drive into the heart of Georgia’s wine region, Kakheti.

 

  • Artisan Tasting: Enjoy a specialized stop to taste traditional Georgian Bread & Cheese, experiencing the authentic flavors of the countryside.

 

  • Sighnaghi (City of Love): Explore the prettiest town in Kakheti, developed in the 18th century by King Erekle II. Walk along the historic defensive walls and 28 towers that offer breathtaking views over the Alazani Valley to the Caucasus Mountains beyond.

 

  • Bodbe Monastery: Visit the Monastery of St. Nino, a major pilgrimage site built in the 9th century. View the tomb of the Cappadocian maiden who converted Georgia to Christianity in 337 AD, set against a backdrop of snowcapped peaks.

 

  • Overnight: Tbilisi.

 

 

  • Ancient Capital: At 10:00 AM, proceed to Mtskheta, the capital of the early Georgian Kingdom of Iberia from the 3rd century BC.

 

  • Architectural Masterpieces: Visit the 6th-century Jvari Monastery (Monastery of the Cross), a UNESCO World Heritage site perched atop a hill overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.

 

  • Svetitskhoveli Cathedral: Explore this 11th-century UNESCO site, the second-largest church in Georgia, which stands on a sacred site dating back to the 4th century.

 

  • The Georgian Stonehenge: Visit the Chronicles of Georgia (History Memorial of Georgia) atop Mount Keeni.
